Amid surging Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement and the escalating rhetoric of Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sheikh Naim Qassem—who recently threatened to topple the government and take to the streets—Lebanon’s political board is undergoing a massive shakeup.
High-level ministerial sources revealed to JNews Lebanon that the political authority is trapped in an unprecedented state of paralysis. Diplomatic Expansion: No US Military Intervention
The upcoming strategy involves deploying special envoys to key decision-making capitals, starting with France—which currently feels sidelined—followed by the European Union, Riyadh, Doha, Abu Dhabi, and Cairo. The Inevitable Ultimatum: Weapons or Ruin
Ministerial sources concluded to JNews Lebanon with a definitive reality check: “Sooner or later, Hezbollah will face two stark choices within the Lebanese house: either surrender its weapons or face total destruction.” Following the state’s strict decision regarding the exclusivity of arms under the Lebanese Army, it has become clear that the era of parallel weapons has expired. A weapon that served a purpose in the past is now yielding entirely counterproductive results, and this is precisely where the real dialogue must begin.
