Beirut security and local authorities are looking with deep suspicion and grave concern at the transformation of some displaced gatherings and shelters in the capital and Mount Lebanon into “semi-closed security zones.” This comes amid serious warnings regarding the hiding of targeted leaders or wanted individuals inside them, which significantly raises the threat level of striking the entire surrounding residential neighborhood.
