JNews Lebanon sources have learned that a stormy evaluative meeting took place behind closed doors between Baabda Palace and the Government Serail. It was agreed to move forward with the Washington negotiations scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, considering them “the least costly option to protect Lebanon,” amid widespread official resentment over the continuation of the policy of unilateralism and battlefield stubbornness that has stripped the state of its sovereign strength cards.
