The Israeli military announced that it carried out a sweeping wave of intensive airstrikes overnight targeting multiple regions across the Bekaa Valley and Southern Lebanon, confirming that it hit more than 100 strategic infrastructure hubs and operational cells belonging to Hezbollah.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Arabic-language spokesperson, Captain Ella Waweya, stated via the X platform (formerly Twitter) that Israeli fighter jets and drones struck over 100 military targets in simultaneous operations across the Bekaa and various sectors of South Lebanon during the late-night hours.
Waweya added that the specific raids executed within the Bekaa Valley focused heavily on disabling tactical infrastructure and blowing up a prominent Hezbollah weapons and ammunition storage depot.
Over 90 Strategic Depots Hit in the South
According to the official military statement, operations in South Lebanon were significantly broader. The IDF claims to have successfully targeted and destroyed more than 90 individual weapons storage facilities, operational command headquarters, frontline observation posts, and logistical launch pads. The Israeli military maintained that these sites were actively being utilized by Hezbollah to orchestrate and execute tactical operations against Israeli cross-border deployments and northern border settlements.
The Mashghara Strike: Direct Video Evidence
The IDF spokesperson pointed out that the newly released video documentation captures one of the highly precise, rapid-succession strikes carried out at midnight in the western Bekaa town of Mashghara.
The footage reveals multiple consecutive airstrikes executed within a span of just a few seconds against fortified infrastructure where the Israeli military claims it had detected active Hezbollah movements. The IDF confirmed that the precision bombardment resulted in the immediate elimination of the operational cell inside the facility.
