The message contained a strict American “veto” preventing the party or any of its allies from taking to the streets or attempting to overthrow the Lebanese government. The US communication emphasized that the stability of the Grand Serail (Government Palace) is an international red line, warning that any adventure of this kind would face immediate sanctions and total isolation.
