    Exclusive JNews Lebanon

The Middle East stands mere hours away from a projected “remote electronic signing” to end the regional escalation, amid a calculated discrepancy in official narratives. While Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that a decisive resolution is expected within 24 hours with Saudi and Qatari backing, Tehran continues to maneuver through its Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Esmaeil Baghaei, hinting at “the coming days.”

However, this regional tug-of-war extending from Islamabad and Geneva to Washington has not obscured the glaring reality in Beirut: the expiration date on using Lebanon as an Iranian bargaining chip has officially passed. The Lebanese state has successfully decoupled its negotiation track from the regional nuclear bazaar.

    1. Jnews Lebanon Exclusive: Secret US Correspondence to Beirut Bars Iranian “Interference”

Jnews Lebanon has learned from high-level diplomatic sources in the US capital that the Department of State has conveyed highly confidential, decisive messages to official Lebanese authorities. The correspondence outlined the following critical parameters:

    • A Ban on Parallel Tracks: The US administration—specifically the State Department—views with deep concern and suspicion the narratives promoted by the Iranian axis and its affiliates, which falsely claim that alternative negotiation tracks enjoy US approval and are capable of producing separate understandings for Lebanon.
    • The State is the Sole Legitimate Entity: Washington explicitly assured Beirut that these claims are designed solely to “obfuscate and disrupt” the official negotiations with the malicious intent of weakening the state’s position. The message read: “The United States deals exclusively with the Lebanese state and its legitimate institutions. The official Lebanese delegation in Washington is the sole entity authorized to manage this file.”
    • Pressure on Israel vs. Iranian Obstruction: Sources revealed to our site that while Washington is actively pressuring Tel Aviv to achieve tangible breakthroughs, ongoing Iranian interference through its proxies remains the primary obstacle disrupting a permanent ceasefire.

    2. The Grand Serail Raises the Stakes: “Hezbollah Must Catch Up… This Charade Must End”

This extraordinary international backing translated immediately into groundbreaking stances by Prime Minister Najib Salam to both Reuters and The Times, reinforced by a firm statement from Foreign Minister Youssef Raji, who declared: “Lebanon will not accept anyone negotiating on its behalf or signing agreements in its name.”

Prime Minister Salam issued a direct, public ultimatum to Hezbollah, demanding it awake from its illusions:

    • A Call to Rejoin the State: Salam addressed the armed faction with unprecedented candor: “Hezbollah must be faster than us, or at least match our speed, and openly declare its support for the negotiations we are conducting in Washington.”
    • The Charade is Over: Salam thoroughly dismantled both Israeli and pro-Tehran narratives, refusing to label “disarmament” as a strictly Israeli-imposed condition. Instead, he framed it as a sovereign, internal Lebanese choice, stating decisively: “Let us put an end to this charade!”
    • Fulfilling National Commitments: Addressing the group’s leadership, Salam added: “If you truly care about your community and their immense suffering—especially after the catastrophic toll has reached 3,756 martyrs and 11,632 wounded—then you are simply required to fulfill your commitments.” According to Serail sources speaking to Jnews Lebanon, these commitments entail adhering to the Ministerial Declaration, establishing the state’s monopoly on weapons under the Army, the Taif Accord, and UN Resolution 1701.

    3. A Strategic Blow on “Ali Al-Taher” Ridge: The Military Fall of Nabatieh

On the ground, Israel appears to be racing against time to establish definitive realities before the proposed 60-day truce takes effect. Recent hours witnessed a dramatic and highly dangerous escalation as Israeli forces advanced and seized near-total control over the strategic Ali Al-Taher Ridge and the town of Kfar Tibnit, following evacuation warnings issued to 24 southern villages.

Jnews Lebanon Military Analysis: The Ali Al-Taher Ridge serves as the definitive military and geographical gateway overlooking the entire city of Nabatieh. Securing it grants direct fire control and operational oversight, placing Israeli forces just two kilometers away from the historic Nabatieh Market. The military vulnerability of Hezbollah’s primary southern stronghold deals a heavy blow to claims of defensive deterrence. It also explains the recent appeal by the Imam of Nabatieh for the immediate deployment of the Lebanese Army to safeguard the city.

    4. Factional Disarray and the Deadlock Debate

Faced with a deteriorating military situation and total political isolation, disarray among Hezbollah’s political representatives has become increasingly evident. Member of Parliament Ali Fayyad called on the government to admit it had reached a “deadlocked road,” a statement met with skepticism in political and diplomatic circles.

The pressing question remains: Which party has truly reached a dead end? Is it the legitimate state, which is negotiating on equal terms in Washington and reclaiming international recognition of its sovereignty? Or is it the armed faction, which loses territory daily, conceding the strategic hills of the South due to Tehran’s regional calculus, even as Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa distances Damascus and closes the border demarcation file?

The era of geopolitical leverage over Beirut has concluded. The ongoing diplomatic track in Islamabad and Geneva between Washington and Tehran will not grant the armed faction a free pass, nor will it roll back the calendar. The key to a resolution rests entirely in one place: the direct Lebanese-Israeli track in Washington. Supported by the military and a robust Arab and international diplomatic consensus, the legitimate Lebanese state is moving forward to enforce its sovereignty and the monopoly on weapons. Those who fail to board the state’s train will find themselves stranded in the line of fire.
