Exclusive JNews Lebanon
Sources closely tied to the Shia Duo have confirmed to Jnews Lebanon that US Ambassador Michael Issa received a “soft-spoken yet decisive” response from Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri behind closed doors regarding the “Experimental Zones” proposal (which suggests a ceasefire in a specific geographical pocket in the South as a test of intentions).
Information indicates that Hezbollah’s leadership, in full coordination with Tehran, informed Berri of its categorical rejection of this blueprint, viewing it as a “military trap” designed to fragment the front and erode the resistance piece by piece. The Iranian message that arrived in Beirut was clear: “No fragmented ceasefire in Lebanon, and no separation of tracks as long as Tehran remains under direct US fire.”
