According to leaked reports, the party has shown an “unprecedented tactical openness” regarding the arrangements for the Lebanese Army’s deployment in the South Litani sector. However, in return, Hezbollah has conditioned its approval on receiving a “written and confidential political pledge” from the top leaders. This pledge must guarantee that the file of the party’s long-range missile arsenal will not be raised at any national dialogue table before the expiration of the 60-day testing window established in Geneva.
