High-ranking security sources have revealed to JNews Lebanon that Israel did not stop at notifying the Trump administration prior to launching its raid on the Southern Suburbs of Beirut (Dahiyeh). In fact, a Western security agency passed an urgent cable to official Lebanese authorities approximately 25 minutes before the strike. The cable contained a decisive warning that Tel Aviv had taken a final decision to “destroy a command headquarters” in Dahiyeh to absorb the anger of northern settlers, and that any additional projectile fired by the Party would mean expanding the target bank to encompass the deep interior of the capital, Beirut.
