Exclusive JNews Lebanon
Highly exclusive diplomatic sources in the US capital have revealed to Jnews Lebanon that the US Envoy, Amos Hochstein, held an urgent, unannounced late-night meeting with the head of the official Lebanese negotiating delegation in Washington.
According to the exclusive information, Hochstein brought “updated field maps” showing the recent Israeli military advance toward the strategic Ali Al-Taher Ridge, which overlooks the city of Nabatieh. He explicitly informed the Lebanese side: “The time available for you to impose sovereign conditions is now measured in hours, not days. Securing control over these dominant hills means Israel will impose a new fait accompli on the negotiating table during the June 22 round.”
Hochstein advised the Grand Serail of the urgent need to issue a “crystal clear” official stance, declaring immediate readiness to deploy the Lebanese Army into the newly breached areas. This move aims to embrace the recent appeals made by southern spiritual authorities, effectively cutting off any paths toward a new Israeli security belt project.
